Rahul Sawhney, Managing Partner

Mr. Sawhney has been a successful middle-market private equity investor for two decades. He has had

experience in buy-and-build, carve-out, buy-out, and turnaround investment strategies, primarily within

the consumer and industrial sectors.

Mr. Sawhney has made control, private-equity investments in middle market companies and led or

participated in; making add-on acquisitions in North America, Europe, and Asia, recruiting executive

management teams to portfolio companies, instituting appropriate governance and reporting structures,

establishing strategic plans with company management and operating advisors, overseeing the execution

of value creation initiatives, and establishing and/or executing exit strategies.

He has previously served as a Board Member for numerous companies, including Thomas Nelson, Focus Products Group, MSDP Group, Premier Thermal Solutions, CTM Group, Techniks Tool Group, Twinstar International, Modere, and XRG.

Prior to founding Starlight Capital Partners, Mr. Sawhney was a successful investor at Aterian Investment Partners, Z Capital Partners, and Black Diamond Capital Management. Prior to establishing a career in Private Equity, Mr. Sawhney was with JPMorgan and predecessors for eight years.

He received his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Communications Engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, India and a Master of Business Administration degree with honors from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA Charterholder.
